20 slides 20 seconds each x 5: It’s Pecha Kucha time.

16 Mar

Want to know what inspires others to do great work? Want to learn how other creative types think? Want to be inspired yourself? Then don’t miss Pecha Kucha on April 7. Five creatives in different industries will talk about what inspires them in a series of fast paced presentations called Pecha Kucha.

The Pecha Kucha presenters in no particular order:
Eric Whitman – Architect – Shelden Architecture
Chris Parks – Graphic Designer – Chris Parks Creative Practitioner
Kevin Wildt – Photographer – Intake Studio
Matthew Dover – Floral Artist – Beard’s Floral Design
Bart Wilcox – Writer – The Greteman Group

Devised in Tokyo in 2003 as an event for creatives to meet, network and show their work to others, Pecha Kucha  has turned into a massive celebration. With events happening in hundreds of cities, it continues to inspire creatives worldwide.

Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of  “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea, 20 images for 20 seconds each. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
